The departure is still seen as a betrayal in Milan. With the so-called ‘Dollarummas’ he is being blamed for this.
“We want to give our money-grabber a dignified welcome today,” the hard core of the Curva Sud wrote in a statement earlier on Tuesday. “We will also raise money and donate it to the AC Milan football school with the message that players like Donnarumma should never be trained again.”
Tuesday evening’s action is not new. In 2017, Donnarumma refused to renew his contract in Milan. That also went down the wrong way with the fans of the Italian top club.

AC Milan recorded its first victory. The Italian team of Dutch international Tijjani Reijnders won 2-1. Paris Saint-Germain opened the score at the San Siro in the 9th minute through Milan Skriniar, but the home team responded within three minutes. After a shot by Olivier Giroud, Rafael Leão scored the rebound with a bicycle kick, 1-1. Ousmane Dembélé hit the crossbar on behalf of PSG before halftime. Reijnders shot wide in the early stages of the second half, but Milan still made it 2-1 in the 50th minute. While Leão was injured in the goal area, Giroud headed in a cross from Theo Hernández.
In the same group, Borussia Dortmund won 2-0 against Newcastle United earlier in the evening. Dortmund leads the group with 7 points, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain (6 points). AC Milan is on 5 points, 1 point more than Newcastle United.
