After Maarten De Bruycker did not show up for work on Monday morning and did not pick up his son from school in the evening, a massive alarm was raised. In the meantime, the police and the public prosecutor’s office are also looking for the man. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Maarten is about 1.83 meters tall and has a rather ostrich build. He has short brown hair, a beard and wears glasses. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing long trousers and a long-sleeved T-shirt. He may also have had a gray suitcase/briefcase with him. Maarten drives a white Skoda Fabio with license plate 1-VMW-538. On Monday, November 6, around half past eight in the morning, Maarten left his home in the Sparrestraat, in the Brugse Poort in Ghent. He was last seen shortly after noon on the E19 in the Antwerp region, near the Meer exit, in the direction of the Netherlands.
Maarten is a member of the Gent Rugby Football Club, works in Merelbeke, and lives in Ghent. Since Monday there has been no trace of him. Family, friends, police and prosecutors are looking for the man.
Anyone who has seen Maarten or his vehicle or knows where he is can contact the police via [email protected], or call 0800 30 30 0 for free.
