At the request of the East Flanders public prosecutor’s office, the police have issued an arrest notice for Maarten De Bruyker (36) from Ghent. The man has been missing since Monday morning. Anyone who would like to know more can contact the police.

Maarten De Bruyker’s family, friends and colleagues are looking for him via social media. The man from Ghent did not show up for work on Monday morning and did not pick up his son from school later that day.

He was last seen on the E19, near the Meer exit towards the Netherlands. He was on the road in his white Skoda Fabia with license plate 1 – VMW – 358. Since then, there has been no trace of him.

Maarten is about 1.83 meters tall and has a rather ostrich build. He has short brown hair, a beard and wears glasses. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing long trousers and a long-sleeved T-shirt. He may also have had a gray suitcase/briefcase with him.

Maarten is asked to contact his loved ones to reassure them.

The police have also issued an investigation notice.
