Italian media know what time it is: according to Sky Sport Italia the former player will take on an ‘operational role’ in the technical field of football at Tijjani Reijnders’ club. Last Monday, Zlatan is said to have met with club owner Gerry Cardinale, for whom he was supposed to act as a ‘contact person’ in Milan.

Reporter Gianluca Di Marzio of the above-mentioned medium reports that the talks between Cardinale and Ibrahimovic are now at an advanced stage and expects that an agreement will be on the table in the coming days. This should result in the former striker being given ‘decision-making power’ within the club and should act as a link between the owner and coach Stefano Pioli’s team.
Zlatan played for AC Milan in two periods during his long career: first from 2010 to 2012, then again from January 2020. In his second period, the former player of Ajax, FC Barcelona and Juventus, among others, led the club in the 2021 season. 22 to the first national title since 2011.
