The 2023 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), a major content event in Asia, officially kicked off on Tuesday and will last six days. This year’s event sees a record number of participants, with over 100 industry professionals from 29 countries and 211 international professionals and buyers gathering to discuss partnerships and resources.
In his opening remarks, Culture Minister Shih Che (史哲) said that the government has already passed investment deductions for cultural and creative industries. He added that the Culture Ministry will also launch the ‘1 Plus 4T Content Plan’, a four-year, NT$10 billion (US$330 million) plan focusing on aspects of media and content. The minister also encouraged attendees to invest in Taiwan saying now is a good time to invest at low prices.
Head of Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) Lu Chun-wei (盧俊偉 ) said that the event had attracted many new participants from around the world. He said that the conference would provide a boost to Taiwan’s content industry.
This year’s TCCF features three main sections: pitching, market, and innovations. The pitching section provides opportunities for connecting with international investors. The innovations section showcases cultural and technological content. It also features discussions on Web3, virtual idols, and virtual production.
