De Emmer Courant starts again with the Emmenaar of the Year election. To determine who will receive this honorable prize at the beginning of 2024, we are calling on our readers.
Organizations or foundations are not eligible. Contenders must live in the municipality of Emmen and have achieved something special or important this year.
This could be a well-known person, but also a local hero or heroine. From volunteer to politician and from local resident or informal caregiver to athlete or entrepreneur. Someone’s special efforts are what it’s all about. “It is important that the performance has a link with the municipality of Emmen or its residents,” the organization said.
New Year’s reception
On Friday, January 5, 2024, the Emmen resident of the year 2023 will be announced during the New Year’s reception of the municipality of Emmen in the Atlas Theater.
Readers of the Bucket Courant can nominate candidates until Thursday, November 23. This can be done via the email address: [email protected]. Only candidates who are submitted with mention of their name and an explanation will be included in the selection.
The Emmenaar of the Year election will have its 20th edition in early 2024.
