The Puma feels at home everywhere, both on the highway and in the countryside. But it is especially in the city where the Puma comes into its own thanks to its compact dimensions – barely more than 4 meters long and 1.80 m wide. With a wheelbase of more than 2.50 meters and a height of 1,550 mm, the interior space is surprisingly large for a crossover of this size.
When opening the tailgate with integrated parcel shelf – this can be done automatically thanks to the hands-free operation – the Ford Puma reveals one of its greatest assets. The loading space proves to be immense, offering space for 456 liters of luggage. If that is not sufficient, the rear seat can be completely folded down in two parts (60/40). This makes it possible to transport boxes or crates up to 112 cm in length, 97 cm in width and 43 cm in height.
Ingenious Megabox
But what completely distinguishes the Puma from the competition is the Megabox. This extra loading space under the trunk floor is highly appreciated by users of Ford’s compact SUV and offers, for example, room for two golf bags that can be placed vertically. Or also a large plant, to give just a slightly more popular example. The Megabox increases the height under the ceiling to 1.15 meters.
This almost square storage space (763 x 752 mm) is 305 mm deep and has a volume of 80 liters. Furthermore, the Megabox has a waterproof lining and a handy drain plug. So throw in dirty shoes, sports equipment and tools without hesitation. You can even wash your dog in it after a nature walk. Some water, a cloth and everything is completely clean again!
The Ford Puma is available in many versions: Titanium, ST-Line, Titanium In terms of engines, Ford offers a choice between two variants of the simple 1.0i EcoBoost mHEV, a hybrid power source of 125 or 155 hp. An award-winning motorcycle too, as it received the International Motorcycle of the Year award no fewer than six times! For enthusiasts of a spirited driving style, there is the Puma ST Ultimate, with two engine versions: a 1.5i EcoBoost of 200 hp or the 1.0i EcoBoost mHEV, good for 160 hp.
