Climbing Wall Central, the climbing hall where an 11-year-old boy died after a fall on Friday, has been open again to regular visitors since yesterday. People with less experience cannot book a time slot in the hall for the time being.

The owner informed AT5 today. The climbing gym was closed all day on Saturday, a day after the fatal accident. Afterwards, the climbing gym decided to start up again slowly.

The accident happened during a children’s party. The boy fell from a height of 10 meters. He was then resuscitated at the scene and rushed to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Circumstances

How the accident could have happened is still being investigated by the police. Several people witnessed the accident. A number of them are still being interviewed by the police.

The owner of the Climbing Wall also says he does not yet know what caused the accident. At the climbing hall, children can be secured to a parent or supervisor. According to the owner, there is always an instructor there and it is impossible that the boy was not secured when he climbed up.
