The 1st Men’s Gymnastics team competition of the autumn competition took place in Twello on Saturday, November 4. 3 gymnasts from Ermelo participated in this. All three men perform gymnastics at Olympia Harderwijk. The starting point was the youngest boys. This is where Olivier Prinsen came out. It was his first match. He performed a nice tight competition but made some minor mistakes. He finished 6th with his team. In match 2 it was Stijn Bunt’s turn with his team. He already performed with considerable difficulty and had a tight performance. His team won the bronze. He even finished 2nd individually. In the last round it was Demien Prinsen’s turn. He played a top game with his team. That is why there was great surprise at the award ceremony when Demien’s team was not on the podium. It soon turned out that the team’s scores had not been sent to the counting system. When this did happen, they turned out to be in 1st place. Demien will receive his gold medal in the next match.
