Are you going to the theater?

As a hostess or host of Vier het Leven, you accompany a maximum of 3 elderly people at a time to the theater, cinema or museum. Go out together and enjoy together! You accompany a maximum of 3 elderly people at a time to the theater, cinema or museum. Participating elderly people will be personally picked up by you, supervised during the performance and brought home afterwards. During the outing you provide a supportive arm and the warm cosiness that is needed to enjoy a wonderful afternoon or evening together. You can specify when you want to be deployed. This makes it flexible volunteer work. Are you coming along?

Do you make it possible to visit the market?

How much fun is a visit to the weekly market in Weesp? Many people with dementia think so too! Unfortunately, this is only possible for them under supervision. Every Tuesday morning the wheelchair bus is ready for a visit to the weekly market in Weesp. Eat a fish or get an ice cream at Nelis in the summer. Visit all the stalls and then it’s time for a cup of coffee at Het Lichthuis. There is a professional supervisor present, but he cannot take six people at once! Do you therefore have time available on Tuesday between 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. and would you like to register? You will make many people very happy with this!

Cees from Weesp would like to expand his social network, can you help him?

Cees, 53, is a sports masseur and has a visual impairment. He would like a nice contact in Weesp with whom he can walk and talk. Are you the buddy for him? Cees is a cheerful man. Cees follows the sport intensively and also loves F1, thrillers and he enjoys playing his saxophone. He prefers one-on-one contact and therefore wants to go out with a nice buddy. He is looking for a spontaneous person who likes to talk and who would like to go for a walk with him and his new assistance dog. Preferably on Monday, Tuesday morning or Friday afternoon. Would you like to give Cees a pleasant moment during his week? Then respond quickly!

Two-part training Setting Boundaries on November 21 & 28

Are you a volunteer in the healthcare or welfare sector and are you unknowingly taking on more and more tasks and responsibilities? You often do that without wondering whether you actually want it and afterwards you regret it, but you don’t go back on it either. Do you ever, or perhaps regularly, reach your own limits in your position as a volunteer? Then this workshop is definitely for you!

Hospitality workshop on December 14

What can you do as a volunteer to be hospitable and make someone feel welcome? What is involved and how do you do it well? For volunteers who want to be hospitable in their volunteer work, for example in a Community Room or during a group activity.
