In fact, all streaming services will increase their prices in the coming period and it was of course inevitable that Amazon will also increase its monthly fee for Prime Video.
For years, Prime Video has only cost 2.99 euros per month. On the other hand, there is a proportionately more limited offering. All Dutch Prime Video customers received an email this morning about the significant increase.
Two euros up
The monthly costs increase from 2.99 euros to 4.99 euros per month. And that is of course 2.00 euros more. The increase for current subscribers will take effect from December 12. And there is a chance to reduce the increase slightly.
You can extend your subscription to an annual subscription of 49.99 euros. If you do that, you will spend about 4.16 euros per month. The reason: the money would be needed to… “to make membership even more valuable.”
More raises
Netflix has increased subscription types in the United Kingdom, among others, by about 2 euros. There is a good chance that this also happens in the Netherlands. Then the costs of a premium subscription would increase to almost 20 euros per month.
Above you can see the trailer for one of Prime Video’s upcoming releases. After Hardcore Never Dies has been shown in cinemas, the Dutch film will be released on Prime Video from December 8.
