No fewer than ten matches are scheduled today in the sixteenth finals of the Croky Cup. Three first-graders were killed on Tuesday, and it remains to be seen whether any more will be added today.
The first cup match will kick off at 3 p.m. League leader Union SG plays against Meux at home. Lierse Kempenzonen receives Royal Antwerp FC and hopes to benefit from the cup holder’s malaise.
Wezet receives KRC Genk, OH Leuven hopes for recovery after the heavy defeat against RSC Anderlecht against Elene-Grotenberge. Patro Eisden has to try to find something against KAA Gent, while Dender has to keep KV Kortrijk in check.
SK Beveren sees the necessary opportunities against bottom line Westerlo, while RWDM has to try to beat Olympic Charleroi at home. The match was banned in Charleroi, so the match will be played in Molenbeek.
There are also two beautiful posters on the agenda in the evening. Standard hosts KRC Harelbeke, while Beerschot ends the evening with a top match against Club Brugge.
There are enough matches to lick your thumbs and fingers, but it is especially important to watch how many first division players die, just like KAS Eupen, KV Mechelen and Cercle Brugge.
