Vintage enthusiasts should visit the Blikfabriek in Hoboken on Sunday 4 June. There you will find the Vintage Market Live feat. snatched place, a collaboration between Tim Mouling, Julie Vrijens and five student entrepreneurs from the Karel de Grote Hogeschool. And this year a nice extra is added: an auction where the most remarkable pieces go under the hammer.

Vintage Market Live might still ring a bell for some. With four successful editions in music center Trix and De Peperbus, initiators Tim Mouling and Julie Vrijens will head to the Blikfabriek in Hoboken on Sunday 4 June.
And this year they are doing this together with five student entrepreneurs, final year event and project management students from the Karel de Grote Hogeschool. For their graduation project, they were commissioned to organize a public event on open. Et voila, there’s Vintage Market Live feat. snatched.
The basic idea remains the same: buy and sell vintage items all day long, from furniture to jewellery, vinyl records and clothing. But there are also novelties. The auction is perhaps the most notable. Each exhibitor has his most remarkable piece auctioned off to the highest bidder. “Every visitor can participate,” says Erik Kalfus, one of the students. “The auction takes place continuously. And we already have a few nice items, such as a Gitane racing bicycle from 1981 in the color ‘bleu Gitane’ and a beautiful vintage sideboard furniture.”

About 35 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance. “There was a selection process beforehand,” says student Pia Van de Peer. “It’s not an antiques market, but it’s certainly not a flea market either. “It is mainly dealers and collectors who are there, including design pieces from the 50s and 60s, although vintage can be very broad.”
Live music will also be played during the event, with a deejay bringing out his best records with his vinyl set. You can also pass the barber or a tattoo artist. And of course there is something to eat and drink.
Tim Mouling is very happy with the collaboration. “It will be something completely different from the previous editions,” he says. “With our experience and their new influences, we turned it into something really beautiful. And the artistic vibe of Blikfabriek lends itself perfectly to our event.”
Vintage Market Live feat. Snatched, Sunday 4 June from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in De Blikfabriek. More information can be found on the Facebook event
