Release date: is the iPhone 14 coming in the fall?

The moment that Apple fans have been waiting for: the release of the iPhone 14. The latest flagship of the American tech giant promises to be faster, better and more beautiful than ever.

So the question that has been on the minds of enthusiasts for months is: when will the Apple iPhone 14 be released?

Apple’s September event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7. It is almost certain that Apple will present the new iPhone 14 here. It is most likely four models: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The event starts at 19:00 Dutch time, and can be followed live via Apple’s YouTube channel.

The fact that the latest iPhone will be announced on September 7, does not mean that it is immediately available. In previous years, new iPhone models were always announced on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and pre-orders started on the following Friday. There’s no reason to expect Apple to deviate from that now; it is therefore expected that you can pre-order your new iPhone on September 9. Placing a pre-order is nice, but when will you have your new phone in your hands? Based on past experience, it is estimated that the official release date will be a week later: on Friday, September 16. So if you are there early and place a pre-order immediately, you will be one of the first to have the very latest iPhone in your possession by mid-September!

Please note: there are rumors that the production of the iPhone 14 Max is lagging behind the rest. The iPhone 14 Max is the replacement for the iPhone 13 mini: instead of a smaller model with comparable specs as the ‘regular’ iPhone, Apple is now opting for a model that is larger. However, production doesn’t seem to be going as planned yet, so there’s a chance you’ll have to wait a little longer if this is the iPhone you want.
