‘Google Pixel 7 Pro unboxing video’

The Pixel 7 Pro was briefly shown by Google earlier this year, but has yet to be fully unveiled. Despite this, the smartphone can now be seen in a short unboxing video on Facebook from Gadgetfull BD. The video shows the packaging and shows what users get when they purchase the Google phone.

The device is of course included in the box, but also a USB-c cable and an adapter to transfer data from an old phone to the Pixel 7 Pro. A charger is again missing, as with the Pixel 6. Several smartphone manufacturers, including Google, omit the plug for environmental reasons. If you later decide to buy the Pixel 7 Pro, then you will have to provide a suitable USB-C charger yourself.

The video shows the black version of the Google Pixel 7 Pro, which has already appeared in rumors. The video confirms the previously shown design and shows both the front and back. The leaked video is not very surprising; Google is not known for keeping its smartphones a good secret. Previous Pixel phones also leaked (completely) early on.

More about the Pixel 7 Pro

Lately, all things about the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have been leaked. For example, it seems that the phones will have exactly the same screens as their predecessors, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. That means the regular Pixel 7 has a 90Hz display and the 7 Pro has a 120Hz display. The phones also have a new Tensor chip, which is made by Google itself.

Also in the field of camera there do not seem to be any groundbreaking innovations. Google will probably opt for exactly the same cameras, meaning the Pixel 7 will have a 50-megapixel main camera and 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. The selfie camera would be improved and have a higher resolution of 11 megapixels. The Pro also has a telephoto lens to zoom in without loss of quality.

It is not likely that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will officially appear in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, Google often skips our little country, although the company came with the Chromecast with Google TV this year. If you want to purchase a Pixel phone, you will have to do this through a provider – which imports the device from another country. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are reportedly available to order from October 6.
