IFA: Yamaha releases streaming mixer for gamers, with 5 volume buttons

Yamaha presented its first audio mixer for streamers at IFA. With the ZG01, you can optimize the game sound for surround playback, enhance certain in-game sounds, simulate voice chat in a 3D space, play sound effects and distort your own voice.

For the latter two, physical buttons are also present, in addition to several volume buttons: for your microphone, headphones, the voice chat, the game sound and a large rotary knob for the total mix.

The ZG01 has two HDMI inputs, which you can switch between, and an HDMI output. The mixer can record the audio from the HDMI signal, but not the video. So you need a separate capture card to stream games live.

Four 3.5mm ports are provided for your audio devices. Two of these are inputs, for example for your microphone or a playback device (such as your smartphone), and two are outputs, for speakers and headphones. The power supply is via USB-C. A second USB-C port (USB 2.0) is available for connection to the PC.

The Yamaha ZG01 is immediately for sale. The suggested retail price is 362 euros, but it looks like you can get it at the well-known audio webshops for 299 euros.
