‘Motorola Edge 30 Ultra can be seen on renders’

Yummy Nils Ahrensmeier has published official renders of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. It will be one of the most advanced smartphones on the market. It is positioned above the existing Edge 30 and Edge 30 Pro.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, the fastest processor for Android devices at the moment. In addition, the Edge 30 Ultra has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with curved edges and a refresh rate of no less than 144Hz. That means the frames refresh 144 times per second, resulting in a very smooth image.

The renders show a relatively modest camera island. This is remarkable since the primary camera has a resolution of no less than 200 megapixels. It is the first time that we see this sensor on a smartphone. You can also get started with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.

Motorola also pulls out all the stops in the battery area. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and charges with no less than 125 Watt. As a result, it is completely full within 20 minutes. The device seems to appear in the colors black and white. The price is not yet known, but will probably be around or above 1000 euros.

Motorola Edge 30 Neo is more modest

Motorola also comes with the Edge 30 Neo. That is a somewhat more modest device with a 6.28-inch OLED screen, Snapdragon 695 chip and a 64 megapixel main camera. The battery is a lot smaller with 4020 mAh and also charges more slowly with 30 Watts. The design is completely symmetrical, which we certainly do not often see in this price range. The Edge 30 Neo will probably cost 399 euros.

Presentation on September 8

Motorola will present these devices on September 8 during its own event. We also get to see the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, which is between the Ultra and the Neo in terms of specifications. No official renders of that device have yet been released. Motorola may also share the worldwide release date of the Razr 2022. That is the latest foldable phone from the company.

Whether all these devices will come to the Netherlands is still uncertain. Keep an eye on our website for the latest news. Or follow Android Planet on Facebook, Instagram and sign up for the daily/weekly newsletter.
