Samsung launches the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro: a robust tablet tailored for employees who take their device with them in challenging work environments.
With the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro, Samsung introduces a robust 10.1-inch tablet for the mobile professional. The device has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, is 1.02 cm thick and weighs 674 grams. This gives the tablet a relatively solid footprint, but that is a conscious choice. After all, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro has to survive challenging work environments.
Water, dust and traps
The tablet can withstand falls up to 1.2 meters high via the supplied protective cover. The IP68 certification also guarantees that dust and water have no negative impact. Samsung also tested its tablet at altitudes and high temperatures and subjected it to vibration and humidity according to the MIL-STD-810H test specifications.
Samsung supplies the device with Android 12. The robust tablet has various buttons that users can program to start certain apps. The screen also works optionally with gloves. Samsung also mentions the extra high volume of the tablet, useful for use in noisy environments.
Portable cash register
Wifi 6 is built-in, as is 5G connectivity. The memory is expandable with an optional microSD card. NFC and Knox for Point of Sale make the device suitable for use by sellers in the store, for example as a cash register.
Furthermore, the tablet distinguishes itself from classic models through the replaceable battery. You can also connect the device directly to the power without a battery, so that it lasts longer. Hot swapping is not possible.
The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is compatible with a wide range of accessories from Samsung itself as well as external partners. The manufacturer speaks of ergonomic covers and stands, charging stations, keyboard covers and mobile barcode scanners.
The Samsung tablet will be available from the end of October with a suggested retail price of 829 euros including VAT.
