Yellow Brick Games has finally revealed its debut project, Eternal Strands. Founded in 2020 by industry veterans, Yellow Brick has grown to a team of 68 people who have been working on Eternal Strands for four years.

The game is an action-adventure title created in Unreal Engine 5. You play as Brynn, a Weaver who wants to discover the mysteries of her lost homeland. She battles massive creatures known as Arks along the way. The game seems to be inspired by Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus.

Mike Laidlaw, chief creative officer at Yellow Brick Games, spoke about the purpose of the game. “Our hope with Eternal Strands is to deliver an adventure that brings a sense of fun and excitement to fantasy, while encouraging players to experiment with the systems. It’s a very different game to what I’ve worked on in the past, and it was a delight to answer the question ‘what if the player does X?’ generally answered with ‘Cool!’ It’s also exciting to have the opportunity to build a brand new world that encourages and responds to this type of play.”

Eternal Strands will be released sometime in 2025.
