The images were shown in court on Friday. According to American media, it shows how a group of five girls chased 64-year-old Reggie Brown into a dead-end alley. There they beat him with his own belt and bashed his head against the ground.

In the middle of the night

The murder took place in the middle of the night in October in a Washington suburb.

According to media reports, the girls were ‘in a cheerful mood’ when they beat the man to death and ran away. The police state that an unknown young man had been involved in the brawl shortly before. He allegedly pushed 64-year-old Brown to the ground, after which he fled into the dead-end alley. He was then chased by the group of girls.

The police say they have not found any link between the girls and the victim.

According to the New York Post newspaper, the group of girls happened to be walking by when the unknown young man threw Brown to the ground. One of the girls then allegedly asked: ‘Can I beat him up?’ The gruesome lynching followed.
