A concept artist may have leaked the release window of two Sony games on his Artstation page. It’s about Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games and the new project from Bend Studio, the developer of Days Gone.
Artist Hung Nguy, who created concept art for several games, posted on his personal Artstation portfolio page that Marvel’s Wolverine would be released in 2024. In addition to Wolverine, Nguy also worked on the new game from Bend Studio. According to Nguy, it would be released in 2025.
Both dates are realistic, although the question is of course whether Nguy, who actually works for the graphic studio Volta, is sufficiently involved in the actual development and to what extent those data are still correct. Unforeseen circumstances, resulting in delays, can always arise.
Surprisingly, Nguy’s portfolio page was removed from Artstation as the news was eagerly shared. His LinkedIn page is also nowhere to be found.
Marvel’s Wolverine was announced in September 2021. At the time, the game was in early development. Bend Studio, on the other hand, is working on a completely new project. Details of that game are poor, although we know that the game will probably be an open-world game.
Now that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is on the shelves, Insomniac Games can fully concentrate on the new Wolverine game. Although a release in 2024 seems early to us. Especially considering the studio hasn’t shown anything of the game yet.
