Samsung will soon release a new fitness tracker with a design that is very similar to that of the Apple Watch.
Leaked images show the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fit 3: a new fitness tracker with a rectangular AMOLED screen. The design is very similar to that of the Apple Watch in several respects. The side in particular is very reminiscent of Apple’s smartwatch. The screen size of the Samsung wearable is different.
According to Windows Report, the Galaxy Fit 3 has a built-in heart rate sensor, but many other specs have not yet been leaked. With the wearable you can of course track your sports performance, steps and sleep. You can also receive notifications from your smartphone and control music. The Fit 3 may also contain a GPS sensor.
Successor after more than three years
It appears that the Fit 3 has no hinge or mechanism to change the strap. You are then stuck with the color you chose when purchasing.
The predecessor, Galaxy Fit 2, dates back to 2020, so it is high time for a new fitness tracker from Samsung. The price is not known yet. The Fit 2 cost 59 euros at the time, but it was a slightly less advanced model with a narrow screen.
Competitors
With the new fitness tracker, Samsung is competing against competitors such as Garmin, Fitbit and Xiaomi. The Fit 3 may be released in January together with the Galaxy S24.
