‘Samsung Galaxy S24 unveiling on January 17’
In just over two months, Samsung’s new top devices will see the light of day. Insider Max Jambor, usually well aware of these types of plans, claims that the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 is scheduled for January 17. The event would take place in San José, near San Francisco.
As we are used to, the series consists of three devices. The regular S24 may have a slightly larger 6.2-inch screen. Moreover, the sides of the device are not curved, but flat. According to rumors, the beating heart of the device is an Exynos 2400 chip that Samsung makes itself. This would include 8 or 12GB of RAM and at least 128GB of storage space. The battery will have a capacity of around 4000 mAh and still charges relatively slowly at 25 Watts.
The new design also comes to the Galaxy S24 Plus, which is said to have a 6.7-inch screen. It gets the same processor, but a larger 4900 mAh battery. You can also charge it a bit faster with 45 Watts.
The S24 and S24 Plus have the same set of cameras: a 50 megapixel main camera, 12 megapixel wide-angle lens and 10 megapixel telephoto lens that brings the image 3x closer. On paper, little changes compared to the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus. However, Samsung may renew the sensors, making them perform better in low light and show less noise.

The flagship: the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
As usual, for the best of the best, go to the Ultra. Compared to its predecessor, the appearance of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra hardly changes. The design is again angular and the OLED screen keeps its diagonal of 6.8 inches. However, the maximum brightness would increase from 1750 to 2500 nits. The recently introduced Xiaomi 14 achieves 3000 nits.
This device is the only one in the series that runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Netherlands. This processor probably performs better than the Exynos 2400 in its cheaper brothers.
The Ultra also retains its 200 megapixel main camera and the 12 megapixel wide-angle lens. He also gets two telephoto lenses. According to rumors, they can zoom in 3x and 5x respectively. This is striking, because the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a zoom lens that brings the image 10x closer.
