Pixelworks, Inc. Continues collaboration with MediaTek on visual processing software for Dimensity 9300 SoC -November 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM

Pixelworks, Inc. announces that MediaTek has used the company’s Pro Software visual processing solution for the new Dimensity 9300 SoC for smartphones. Pixelworks’ professional color calibration solution significantly enhances the color rendering capabilities of the Dimensity 9300 5G chipset to deliver smoother image quality and more accurate color reproduction for photos, videos and gaming animations on mobile devices, resulting in improved visual gaming experiences for end users. The Dimensity 9300 5G chipset is an upgrade over its predecessor, offering higher performance, improved energy efficiency and lower power consumption using advanced technologies.

Thanks to significant optimization, the chip can also create professional visual content and immersive gaming experiences on smartphones. The chip is manufactured using TSMC’s N4P process, which offers excellent processes and performance. In addition, a newly improved all-core CPU architecture, consisting of four Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, improves the overall performance and energy efficiency of the chipset, including a 50% lower CPU consumption and a 25 % more efficient GPU compared to the Dimensity 9200.

The recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 9300 5G chipset represents the deepest technology integration to date between the two companies.
