Good news for all ‘The Walking Dead’ fans! Today marks the launch of STAR Channel (formerly FOX) and therefore the perfect opportunity to proudly announce that STAR Channel will broadcast four new spin-offs and one docuseries of ‘The Walking Dead Universe’ this year and next.
After the very last episode was shown on FOX last year, it was quiet around the series in Flanders. Now ‘The Walking Dead Universe’ is back with no fewer than four spin-offs; ‘Daryl Dixon’, ‘Tales of The Walking Dead’, ‘The Ones Who Live’ and ‘Dead City’ and a new docuseries: ‘The Walking Dead: Origins’. STAR Channel will broadcast the first spin-off ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ on December 11 this year, immediately followed by ‘The Walking Dead: Origins’ in January 2024. The other series will follow later in the new year.
Halloween may be over, but horror fans are in the right place at STAR Channel in the coming period with, in addition to ‘The Walking Dead Universe’, also the new horror series ‘FROM’ and the start of the third season of ‘Chucky’ in 2024!.
‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’
In ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’, Daryl (Norman Reedus) washes up in France at the time of the origin of the zombie virus. He tries to figure out how he got there and why. The series follows his journey through a fractured but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. Along his journey, he makes new connections with both friends and enemies that complicate his ultimate ultimate plan.
This spin-off of ‘The Walking Dead’ stars Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, alongside Norman Reedus. The series was produced by Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath and Daniel Percival.
