There is always that one transfer on deadline day: Batshuayi transfer blocked by late documents | Premier League

At last, Michy Batshuayi’s rental carousel at Chelsea seemed to be coming to an end. The striker seemed to be leaving London permanently for PhD student Nottingham Forest in his last year of contract.

They were already used to completing a transfer. Batshuayi would have become number 20 this summer mercato.

Only: the papers signed by all parties reportedly did not reach the Premier League offices in time. Road transfer for Batshuayi.

Yet there is still a way out for the Red Devil. The transfer market in Turkey, where several clubs have already shown concrete interest in Batsman, is still open until September 8. And in Belgium too, the door will be ajar for a few days…

A permanent move to Nottingham could have ended a real crusade across Europe for Michy Batshuayi.

Michy Batshuayi moved to Chelsea in 2016 after two successful years at Marseille, where he scored 33 goals.

The good news did not last long there. Coach Antonio Conte saw little room for the Red Devil and in January 2018 the first loan was a fact. At Dortmund, his talent came to the fore, with nine goals in fourteen games.

However, a permanent deal did not materialize: Dortmund did not meet Chelsea’s asking price.

Then his nomadic existence began. Valencia, Crystal Palace (twice) and Besiktas followed, but without success. Yes, there were always a few goals, but Batshuayi seemed unable to enforce a starting spot.

Things went well for Besiktas, but the end of the season was again the end of the stay. And so Batshuayi returned to London for the umpteenth time. Wait and see if he stays there.
