Tour of the Basque Country ends for Tom Pidcock during a time trial exploration

Tom Pidcock’s Tour of the Basque Country has ended before the stage race has even started. The Briton from Ineos Grenadiers fell during the reconnaissance of the time trial and was taken to hospital.

Tom Pidcock pressed the pause button on his classic spring after Milan-San Remo. He ignored the cobblestone races to tackle the climbing classics in top form.

In the Tour of the Basque Country, the Briton wanted to prepare himself for work in the Ardennes, but Pidcock crashed during the exploration of the opening time trial.
