STVV is having a great season and the Canaries want more. They are going for a wonderful year and this month the club celebrates its 100th anniversary. An interesting player was added with Adriano Bertaccini.
The attacker was signed from Liège, where he scored 11 times in 17 matches. In the past he played for KRC Genk and top European clubs tried to get him away. He stayed, but he couldn’t break through in Genk. Via Deinze, Lustenau, Thes Sport and Liège he ended up in the first class at STVV. They could use a striker there.
Sporting director André Pinto is very satisfied. “With Bertaccini we have chosen a player who already has experience as a professional, but who, as a 23-year-old, also has considerable growth potential. Adriano is a fast, quick striker with a nose for goals. In this way he adds an extra dimension to our attacking line,” said sporting director André Pinto.
Breaking through at STVV
STVV obviously wants to make the attacker even better. “Our coach already proved this season that he can help young players develop. With Bertaccini he gets his hands on a new diamond in the rough.” The striker was of course also very satisfied with his transition.
“Making the move to the Canaries is a dream come true for me. In recent years I have risen step by step. But my ultimate goal was to work at the highest level. I look forward to working at STVV: it is a team that plays very attractive football, with many promising players and ardent supporters. That suits my game and personality very well,” says Adriano.
