On the final day of the transfer market, SK Beveren signed Kylian Hazard. He is rented from RWDM for the rest of the season.
Kylian Hazard has already had a nice career in Belgian football. After being trained at Tubize and Lille, he made his debut at White Star Bruxelles in 2013. A year later, the pocket attacker moved to Zulte Waregem where he made his debut in the Belgian First Division. After a two-year adventure with Hungarian Ujpest, the Belgian moved to Chelsea.
In 2018, Hazard returned to Belgium to work at Cercle Brugge. He played 68 matches at the highest level for the Association. At the end of January 2022, the attacker left for RWD Molenbeek. He first played there on a rental basis, later he was offered a two-year contract.
Sporting director Tom Van den Abbeele is already pleased with the newcomer. “With Kylian Hazard we get a player who needs no introduction. Kylian is a player with exceptional qualities, as he showed last season with six goals and seven assists in the ten games of the Promotion Play-offs of the Challenger Pro League,” the club’s website said.
An opportunity as they say, although it remains to be seen what physical shape Hazard is in and how quickly he can be deployed for Beveren. “He has already come a long way in his rehabilitation after his injury and is working hard every day to return to the field stronger and fitter. We know that he still needs some time and do not want to skip any steps, but the goal is clear: to guide Kylian Hazard in optimal conditions, so that he can be important for SK Beveren and help us achieve our objectives for this season.”
