Anderlecht has made some room in its salary budget in recent days. The deals that Jesper Fredberg pulled out save the Purple & White a lot of money. And the Dane even made a modest profit.

Benito Raman’s transfer to Samsunspor is completely free. Anderlecht broke the attacker’s contract so that he could sign for the Turkish club on a free transfer. That does mean they have lost the last five months of wages on his contract, which could easily amount to half a million.

They have also replaced Maxime Dupé with Mads Kikkenborg. They paid 1.3 million for that to Lyngby, possibly with Lucas Lissens as part of the deal. However, Dupé was paid as the first goalkeeper, while the 24-year-old Kikkenborg has a much smaller contract. And Nice reportedly also paid quite well for the French goalkeeper.

If Fredberg also loses Amadou Diawara, his assignment for the winter mercato will have been successful. He had to water down the core and the wage burden. After all, Diawara is also a big earner.
