KAA Gent seems to be losing Hugo Cuypers to the MLS and therefore needs an extra striker, while they want to strengthen Standard in the fight against relegation. And now both teams end up in each other’s way.

Both KAA Gent and Standard are among the interested clubs for Philippe Keny. That is a 24-year-old Senegalese striker who currently plays in the Turkish league for Basaksehir. He is under contract there until June 2025.

Philippe Keny would like to take a new step in his career and therefore move to a major(er) competition in Europe. It is possible that the Buffalos or the Rouches can benefit from this, although there are still privateers on the coast.

Metz would also want him. There may be a rental deal with a purchase option on the table for the teams that want to sign him. The attacker has already played 702 minutes in a total of 20 games this season – mainly substitute appearances. He scored two goals and also provided an assist.
