KV Kortrijk has been working hard in recent weeks under its new coach, but so far it has not made too much progress in the standings. In the meantime, the coach would like some reinforcements.
Coach Freyr Alexandersson wants to explore familiar paths. KV Kortrijk would emphatically target Arnór Ingvi Traustason, a 30-year-old Icelander. The compatriot of De Kerels’ coach currently plays for the Swedish IFK Norrköping.
According to a Viaplay commentator in Iceland, it is a real transfer bomb, because it did not seem to be the intention that the Icelander would make a transfer this winter. He has been with Norrköping since 2022 and the 54-time international scored 11 goals and 2 assists across all competitions last season.
With the arrival of Traustason, Kortrijk would make a strong deal with which they want to strengthen themselves in the fight against relegation. On Transfermarkt he currently has a market value of 1.2 million euros. How deep De Kerels will dig into their pockets for him is another question.
