The Red Devils defeated Azerbaijan with ease yesterday and are therefore placed as the seed for the European Championship. It is still questionable whether Toby Alderweireld will make his comeback in Germany, the Antwerp player already had other plans yesterday.
High-profile comeback?
Both Alderweireld and Tedesco recently did not rule out a comeback for the experienced defender. Although that is still highly uncertain, of course. The ex-Tottenham player officially announced that he is quitting the Red Devils.
Surprising career turn
Yesterday Alderweireld had other plans than watching the Red Devils match. The player was invited to the Bocuse d’Or, a major gastronomic competition, of which the Belgian finalist will soon be able to participate in the grand final in France.
The Antwerp player has his own drinks brand together with partner Thomas Tisson: MM Antverpia. They produce, among other things, gin and amaretto, which they also presented at the largest event in Ghent. Alderweireld had his picture taken with top chef Nick Bril:
