Luka Modric will be 38 years old in 2023. He is not yet putting an end to his career, but he will leave Real Madrid if we can believe the Spanish newspaper Sport.
After twelve years, the marriage between Luka Modric and Real Madrid is coming to an end, the Spanish newspaper reports. The Croatian is said to be on his way to the competition in Saudi Arabia.
“The farewell will take place at the end of the season, when Modric’s contract expires,” transfer journalist Xavi Canals said. Especially the fact that he plays little would be the reason not to renew, if Real wanted to do so.
In Saudi Arabia they also want to welcome a name like Modric with open arms and there is a very nice contract ready for him. There was already quite a bit of interest last summer, but Modric rejected that.
“He has had several offers, from a club in the capital and another club,” says agent Borja Couce. “Luka is currently only thinking about Real Madrid, but the idea of him moving to the Saudi Pro League is certainly possible if it is a suitable offer.”
