Zinho Vanheusden was called up by national coach Domenico Tedesco. However, the Standard player has to drop out due to an injury.
On Friday, national coach Domenico Tedesco made his selection for the Red Devils. He was somewhat expected on the German’s list and was given his place. Zinho Vanheusden was Red Devil again.
However, on Monday it became clear that the Standard player had to withdraw injured for this international break. It is therefore a matter of seeing who Domenico Tedesco will call up as a replacement for the injured Vanheusden.
One name that came up was Koni De Winter. He already reported to the Young Devils on Monday, but will not play there either. After all, Het Laatste Nieuws reports that he may go under the knife as soon as today.
De Winter suffered a broken nose against Hellas Verona last weekend and surgery is necessary. Three days of rest should be enough, after which he could play football again.
The match against Scotland with the Young Devils or against Serbia with the Red Devils therefore comes too early. De Winter would still play against Spain, with the promises.
