“Whose idea was it to organize the press conference here? Wow…” After the surprising defeat against Toulouse, Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp (56) could not help but laugh at the fact that the shouts of joy and the drumming of the loud home fans could be heard in the press room.
LOOK. Klopp is annoyed by the Toulouse fans:
No 3-3 in the final seconds at Toulouse-Liverpool, a match in Union’s Europa League pool. Jarell Quansah’s equalizer in minute 97 was disallowed after the VAR previously saw hands with Alexis Mac Allister. And so ‘The Reds’ surprisingly lost. A very big party broke out in the Stadium Municipal.
So big in fact that Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp was interrupted during the press moment. He wanted to give his explanation, but the festivities near the room made that impossible. Chants and drums almost sounded over Klopp’s words. And so the man started to get irritated. At a certain point it became too much for him. And he said with a meaningful look: “Who had the idea to hold the press conference here? Wow. That is a very interesting question.”
He sighed, looked left and right. And clapped a hand over his face. He couldn’t believe it.

Klopp also thought that the 3-3 should have remained. “This isn’t hands, is it? The ball hits the chest. To be honest, I don’t see anything wrong with it. I looked at the images. But perhaps the referees had a different image to judge by. So maybe I’m the one who gets it wrong.”
Then the German was more concerned about the level of his team. “Because honestly: we deserve to lose. A point would not have been justified. Toulouse was better in all aspects. That is a problem.”
