Tottenham Hotspur – Chelsea probably provided the most impressive match of the weekend last Monday.
The Spurs started stormily, but a wild red card from defender Christian Romero completely turned the match around. The score ended up being 1-4 for the visitors.
For the Argentinian, who occasionally behaves more like a Roman gladiator than a footballer, it is not the first time that an aggressive moment has caused his team problems.
Filip Joos also brings back memories of almost a year ago, when Romero, alongside Lionel Messi, caused delirium in his home country.
“The craziest thing about that Argentinian world title is the presence of Romero, Paredes and to a lesser extent De Paul.”
“Those are psychopaths on the field, they are gaga. The fact that we managed to keep those guys in check for seven games is very impressive. Paredes still had his moment against the Netherlands, but even that wasn’t too bad.”
“I never believed that that would work, although Messi’s charisma did help them refereeing,” the commentator concludes.
After which the five add feathers to the cap of Tottenham and their savior Ange Postecoglou.
