The success of the Purple & White also has an effect in international football. No fewer than four Anderlecht-Danes received a letter of invitation for the national team in the letterbox of national coach Kasper Hjulmand. Kasper Dolberg, Anders Dreyer, Thomas Delaney and Kasper Schmeichel can prepare for the international matches against Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
Anderlecht has made an excellent start to the competition with eight victories in thirteen competition matches. The Purple & White owes this good start largely to its Danes. Coach Brian Riemer (also a Dane) had no fewer than four compatriots available this season. And they are anything but rude.
Kasper Hjulmand has also seen that. The national coach of the Danes has therefore called up Kasper Schmeichel, Thomas Delaney, Anders Dreyer and Kasper Dolberg for the diptych against Slovenia and Northern Ireland.
And so the Danish national team turns a little more purple and white. Although it is not the first time that Denmark is betting so hard on Anderlecht players. In May 1985, four Anderlecht players once played together in the Danish national team. Olsen, Arnesen, Andersen and Frimann were the names at the time.
