Anderlecht and Denmark: it turns out to be a two-way street. Four players from the Purple & White were called up to play in the upcoming European Championship qualifiers for the national team: Dolberg, Schmeichel, Delaney and again Dreyer. Club Brugge is also represented.
On the poster of Denmark’s new selection: three players, two of which are from Anderlecht.
Do you recognize them? Kasper Dolberg in the center and Thomas Delaney on his right. The revival of purple and white is clearly not going under the radar in Denmark.
Because it doesn’t stop there. Kasper Schmeichel was also called up again and man-in-form Anders Dreyer is back for the first time this season.
Furthermore, Andreas Skov Olsen from Club Brugge also provides a Belgian link.
A full front line from the Jupiler Pro League would therefore not be inconceivable in one of the two upcoming matches against Slovenia (17/11) and Northern Ireland (20/11) in the Danish European Championship qualifying campaign. The Danes are currently in a shared first place in Group H, together with Slovenia.
