Next weekend the skaters will open the new World Cup season in Japan. Our country sends 6 participants to Obihiro. For the first time in 10 years, Bart Swings will also ride the team pursuit there.
Olympic champion Bart Swings can enjoy his first mass start of the season in Japan. In addition, the top skater also wants to shine in the 5,000 meters and in the team pursuit.
For the team pursuit, a speed race over 8 laps, he can count on newcomers Jason Suttels and Indra Médard. Just like Swings, they come from the inline skating world.
At the beginning of his skating career, Swings already rode the team pursuit. Then he formed a team with his brother Maarten Swings and Ferre Spruyt.
