As expected, the European women’s title battle turned out to be one big triumph for Fem van Empel. At the end of the opening round she was already ribbed. The Italian Sara Casasola was the revelation in third place, just after Ceylin Alvarado. Marion Norbert Riberolle was the first Belgian in 6th place.
