In the Challenger Pro League, two tough matches were scheduled on Saturday evening. Francs Borains pushed Standard SL16 even deeper into the hole, Lierse and Beveren made little progress with a draw.
Lierse K and SK Beveren wanted to do well this season, but so far they have had a fairly mediocre to poor season in the Challenger Pro League. High time to do something about that at the Lisp on Saturday evening, both teams thought.
In the end they kept it at a 2-2 draw. Beveren quickly took the lead through Ismaheel, but after fifteen minutes the signs were up again through Van Dessel. After the break, Cools erased another lead for the visitors after an own goal. Both teams make little progress with the draw.
Francs Borains beats Standard
Francs Borains, for his part, has moved away from the bottom after a useful win against Standard SL16. After two own goals, Makembo was able to make it 2-1, but the young Rouches did not get any further.
Standard remains last in the standings, Francs Borains jumps over Beveren, Lierse, Seraing, Genk B and Ostend to safer places.
