After the short freestyle of the French Grand Prix, Belgian figure skater Nina Pinzarrone surprisingly occupies fourth place. With 65.74 points, the barely sixteen-year-old improved her top score from 2021 (64.58).

The ranking of the twelve riders, who competed in the Ice Park of Angers on Friday, is led by the American Isabeau Levito (71.83 points).

Pinzarrone’s difference with the number two, Anastassia Gubanova, the European champion from Georgia, is less than one point (66.73). Third is South Korea’s Haein Lee (66.30).

Pinzarrone did everything right on her GP debut, but there is still some room to perfect the jumps.

When it comes to the best performances, Pinzarrone was only eighth beforehand. Five participants have already scored more than two hundred points in a match, the Belgian teenager has 191.78. She achieved that score in March at the world championships, where she finished eleventh.

It is the third Grand Prix of the season, the first two resulted in victories for Loena Hendrickx and Japanese world champion Kaori Sakamoto. A year ago, Hendrickx achieved her first GP victory in Angers.
