Inter has been fined 5,000 euros for chants against Romelu Lukaku. Technical director Ausilio wants to close the Big Rom chapter completely.
Not for the tens of thousands of whistles, but for the chants against Romelu Lukaku on his return to San Siro with AS Roma, Inter will be fined 5,000 euros. Piero Ausilio, Inter’s technical director, wants to close the Lukaku chapter once and for all, the club said.
“I prefer not to talk about players from other clubs,” he said. “I’m just saying that I like to think about the present and the future. And Lukaku belongs to our past. With him we won a title, he brought us significant financial added value and with him we lost two European finals.”
Ausilio doesn’t hold back. “There just needs to be a little education and respect. There are always negotiations that break down, but if there is respect, then there is no problem. However, if answers are withheld or made up through other people, then you start to think about it. For me, this chapter has been closed since July 8. There are no regrets.”
