Two contracting companies are central to the investigation into human trafficking and exploitation of 55 workers at the yard of chemical giant Borealis in Kallo, in the port of Antwerp. Together they form a temporary joint venture: Irem-Ponticelli. And these are not small players: both the Italian Irem and the French Ponticelli are multinationals with construction and maintenance projects all over the world.
