A Belgian couple living in Tenerife has been missing for several days. There is a search notice on the website of the Spanish National Center for Missing Persons (CNDES). The FPS Foreign Affairs is aware of the disappearance.

It concerns a 66-year-old woman, Laura Trappeniers, and a 71-year-old man, Marc Olbrechts. Friends of the couple are calling on social media for information about them. The two were last seen on April 22, and the missing persons report followed two days later. The couple’s car, a dark blue Opel Mokka with a Spanish license plate, has also disappeared.

Olbrechts and Trappeniers are said to come from Flemish Brabant, but have been living on the Spanish island for fifteen years. The Foreign Affairs is aware of the disturbing disappearance. “The FPS Foreign Affairs in Brussels and the Belgian consulate in Tenerife are following this case closely and are in contact with the other competent Spanish and Belgian authorities,” said a spokesperson. Since this concerns an individual file, the FPS Foreign Affairs will not provide any further comment.
