0-8! Bakayoko helps PSV to a monster victory with a fantastic goal – if Feyenoord doesn’t win, PSV will be champions | Sport

--

Just on the day when the champions can be played, PSV has achieved its biggest away win ever. Heerenveen was the winner: 0-8. Red Devil Johan Bakayoko was in the starting line-up for the Eindhoven team and scored the sixth goal – the best of the entire evening. Now we have to wait for Feyenoord’s result against Go Ahead Eagles. If the Rotterdam team does not win, PSV will again be champions of the Netherlands.

PSV started dominantly, as expected, and often came close to the Heerenveen goal. After seven minutes, Joey Veerman got the ball on the edge of the sixteen. He played in the path of Guus Til, who finished nicely across the corner. Less than two minutes later, PSV was there again. Right back Teze had plenty of time to give a cross from his right side. He kicked the ball to the far post, where Tillman simply had to head it in. Tillman couldn’t get enough and scored again two minutes later. This time with the feet after an incorrect assessment by goalkeeper Van Der Hart. De Jong sent the American deep, who saw that the keeper was hesitating and cleverly kicked the ball through the keeper’s legs. A dream start for Bakayoko’s team.

On the half hour, Joey Veerman decided to kick from outside the box. Van Der Hart had to release the ball and Til followed well. He kicked the ball into the net twice. Just before half time, ex-Heerenveen player Veerman made it 0-5. He did not celebrate and even received applause from the home fans.

In the second half, Heerenveen came out of the dressing room sharper. A goal by Brouwers was disallowed for offside. Johan Bakayoko had not achieved much in the first half, but made up for it completely in the second half. He came in from his right and kicked the ball into the net in a beautiful way.

The seventh goal came after 70 minutes thanks to a gift from the Heerenveen defense. She simply played the ball into Schouten’s feet. He only had to play De Jong and the Dutch striker knows what to do with such an opportunity. He did not fail one-on-one against Van Der Hart. And PSV still didn’t have enough. A clever one-two between Van Aanholt and De Jong was cleverly finished by the left back.

After this performance, PSV is unofficial champion, which means that Feyenoord has to win everything (four matches), PSV has to lose its three matches and the Rotterdam team still has to bridge a large gap in terms of goal difference to become champions.
