Kharkiv is the second largest city in Ukraine. The Russians managed to capture parts of the city during the invasion in 2022, but were quickly driven out again – just like in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. It is no secret that Russia wants to invade the city again.

Solovyov thinks that is a good idea and he advocates not leaving a single chip in the city. “I’ll say it again. Kharkiv must be wiped off the face of the earth. Very simple, so that there are no misconceptions about it. But we have to start with Kiev,” he pleaded during his show. “We must simply destroy everything so that there is nothing left but radioactive dust.”

Russian Ambassador Rodion Miroshnik immediately supported him and claimed with a straight face that that message had been heard and accepted by public opinion. “I repeat it again,” Solovyov insisted. “I have no mercy for anyone there.”

Member of Parliament Andrei Lugovoy appeared to have the same opinion and wants the Ukrainians to be put in their place. “I think we should deprive Kharkiv of electricity to the point where it becomes completely unliveable,” he says. “Let the 800,000 people who still live there get into their cars, go out with their backpacks or put them in a wagon to the west. And do the same in other cities, such as Kiev.”
