In response to the drone attack from Syria, “Israeli forces “attacked” the organization that carried out the attack in Syria at dawn on Friday, the Israeli army wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Israel “holds the Syrian regime responsible for any terrorist act originating from its territory” and the military “will respond sternly to any attempt to harm Israel’s territory.”
According to an army spokesperson, the school building suffered damage. It concerns a primary school, a journalist from the AFP news agency found on the spot.
The seaside resort is currently hosting tens of thousands of people who were evacuated from northern Israel and the border area with the Gaza Strip, where a war is raging between Israel and the radical Palestinian movement Hamas.
