Extreme HousesThe house of Mathieu and Céline Kelchtermans in Heusden-Zolder is one that immediately catches the eye. It was built about fifty years ago using only recycled materials. What is particularly striking are the 23 cockpit domes on the roof, which serve as windows. “They are cockpits from old fighter jets,” says owner Mathieu in the HLN Original ‘Extreme Huizen’. “The architect picked them up at the time in an airplane cemetery in Dunkirk.” Watch the full episode below.
